Yesterday evening was one of those nights that reminded me how good life can be when you actually “make time” for the people who matter. 💛 ( my forever friend Crystal)
I went out to dinner with my long-time friend, and it was genuinely such a great time!! Great conversation, lots of laughs, and that comfortable feeling of “we’ve got history and we’re still here.”
And honestly, the cherry on top? The waitress surprised us with a compliment dessert. It was delicious, but the real sweet part was getting to share that moment with someone I care about. And y’all know I love sweets!!!!
It’s easy to get busy. It’s easy to let time slip by. But I’m realizing more and more that relationships don’t grow on autopilot. They grow when we choose them, when we check in, show up, and say, “I’m glad you’re in my life.”
So here’s your reminder (and mine):
Make time for the friends you love. Nurture the relationships that feel like home. Reach out before life gets too loud. Plan the dinner. Take the trip. Have the conversation. Be the reason someone feels valued.
And you all know Be the reason someone smiles today!💕
Because the best moments aren’t just the ones you taste…
They’re the ones you share. 🥰✨

✨ Fine Hair, Big Volume! (How I styled her transformation)
If you’ve got fine, straight, long hair m, you already know the struggle, volume can be tricky, and styles don’t always hold the way you want.
My client was ready for a change: she was tired of the way her hair sat flat, so we did two things to help her get a more lifted, fuller look.
💡 Step 1: A Perm for Lift + Texture
Because her hair is fine and straight, adding a soft perm helps create natural movement and body. This is what allows hair to hold shape differently, so instead of laying flat, it has something to “grab onto” and bounce.
💇♀️ Step 2: A Cut Designed for Her New Curl Pattern
Now here’s the part that makes the biggest difference: once the hair is curly, the way it falls changes.
So instead of just cutting for length, I shaped it so the curls could fall into place naturally and build a more full, sassy short silhouette.
This kind of cut is all about working with the curl so it looks intentional, not random.
✅ The Result
A fuller look, more texture, and curls that give her hair that effortless “volume-first” vibe without needing heavy styling or complicated steps.
If you’re considering a perm (or already have curls from one), save this!
Your haircut should be customized to your curl pattern for the best results. 💛

Sometimes I cut my clients’ natural curly hair after it’s been blow-dried straight—and that helps me create a more accurate, even guideline.
Curly hair can shrink and lay differently from section to section, so length and shape are harder to judge consistently in its natural pattern. When it’s blow-dried straight, it lies flatter, making the cut more precise.
This client wears her hair straight, so it aligns with her styling routine.
And just to be clear: I don’t do this for every client—I decide based on what she needs after consultation.

Today I caught myself staring at my wrist and smiling.
I have bracelets on my wrist that came into my life one by one at different times, from different people who love me in their own way.
Each one has a heart on it.
When I look down, I’m reminded that love isn’t always something we only feel in big moments.
Sometimes it shows up quietly through thoughtfulness, presence, and the people who consistently choose us.
There’s a steady calm in knowing I’m cared for. And that reminder does something to me.
It makes me pause more often. It makes me appreciate what I might otherwise rush past. It reminds me that gratitude isn’t just a feeling, it’s a practice.
Three hearts. Three ways of saying I matter.
And if you needed a gentle reminder today, I hope this is it, take a moment to notice the love that’s already around you.
Notice who supports you. Notice who stays. Notice who is a blessing .
What love are you wearing right now?
It doesn’t matter if it’s something on your wrist, your neck or your finger or someone in your life?

Yesterday was amazing!
I had the pleasure of teaching an All Nutrient Color Correction Class !! And guess what was the best part? …..
The stylist got to experience it hands-on!! 🙌🎨
I truly love sharing what I know, helping my peers grow, learn something new, or refresh what they already know. And even when I’m teaching, I always make sure I’m learning too.
Every class, every stylist, every conversation is a chance to reflect, improve, and keep sharpening my skills.
Because I will forever be a student of this trade!💛
I’ve been in the beauty industry for 33 years, and honestly?
There’s still so much to learn and even more to share!
💬 Now I want to know:
As a beauty professional, what have you shared or learned lately?
Drop it in the comments — let’s inspire each other! 👇✨

Teaching my peers feels like a privilege.
In our industry, as hairstylists and beauty professionals, we hold so much power—because what we share becomes what others create: confidence, creativity, and real transformation.
As a seasoned hairstylist, I’m grateful for the chance to share what I’ve learned. I truly believe knowledge isn’t meant to be kept—it’s meant to be passed on.
It was an honor to share my knowledge this past week, and I loved connecting with everyone, pouring into the room, and watching the energy grow. 💛
Let’s keep leveling up—together.
